Photo Privacy Guard, operated by Rem-do Apps, processes images only on the device and does not upload them. The Japanese policy is authoritative; this translation is provided for convenience.
1. On-device information
Selected or imported images, detected faces, codes, text regions, OCR text, findings, masks, and undo/redo history are processed temporarily on device. They are not sent to or stored on the operator's servers.
2. Analysis and editing
Analysis, blur, solid redaction, pixelation, crop, rotation, and metadata-free export work without an account or image upload. Processing is completed on device using Apple Vision, and image-derived information is not passed to the advertising SDK.
3. Saving and sharing
Saving uses Apple's photo-addition feature, and sharing uses the iOS share sheet. Temporary share files are stored in Caches and removed after sharing or on a later app launch. Data sent to a destination selected by the user is governed by that destination's terms.
4. Advertising, consent, and tracking
The app uses Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform. Google may process approximate location inferred from IP address, device or user identifiers, advertising data, ad interactions, and diagnostic information such as crashes or performance for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, and diagnostics. The app explains tracking before the first ad request and requests consent where required. If ATT is authorized, identifiers may be used for personalized advertising according to the user's consent. If denied or restricted, the app does not use IDFA and requests non-personalized ads. Development TestFlight builds use Google's official test ads.
5. Ad-removal purchase
Apple StoreKit handles product information, purchase, restoration, and entitlement verification for the non-consumable Remove Ads product. The displayed price comes from the App Store. Apple processes purchase information under the Apple Account and App Store terms; it is not linked to images or analysis results.
6. External links
The default browser opens this website only when the user selects Support or Privacy Policy in Settings. Images and analysis results are not appended to the URL.
7. Deletion
Ending an editing session discards the image, OCR text, findings, and edit history being processed. Deleting the app removes local settings, while an App Store entitlement may remain restorable through the Apple Account.
